Inside the Cans — Recovery+ Ingredients
Recovery+ · Inside the Cans
What's Inside. And Why It's There.
This page explains every family of ingredients in both Recovery+ cans, what it is, what it's for, in plain language. The complete FSSAI-compliant ingredient list travels where it legally belongs: printed on every can you'll ever hold.
Our rule is simple: we only claim what the label and published research can back. The formulation itself, the exact architecture we spent years building, stays ours. Every claim on this site can be checked against the can in your hand and the research we cite.

☀️ ELXR AM, what's inside
| Ingredient | Why it's here |
|---|---|
| Clear whey protein isolate | The backbone of the can's 20g total protein. Isolate grade, over 90% protein by dry weight, and it stays juice-clear instead of milky. |
| Prebiotic fibre (~15g) | Dietary fibre your own digestion can't break down, it arrives in the colon intact and feeds your gut bacteria1. About half your day's fibre target, done at breakfast. |
| Caffeine (74mg) | Measured by an accredited lab. About your two morning chais with a little extra, within FSSAI limits, printed on the can. |
| L-theanine (270mg) | The calm half of the calm-focus pair, almost four times the can's caffeine. Coffee has none. |
| Electrolytes | Sodium and potassium at working strength, already dissolved, built for a body that actually sweats. |
| Vitamin C | A full day's worth, dosed in the range where absorption is near-complete2, no megadosing. |
| Zinc | In solution from the first sip. The bigger zinc number lives in the evening can, where minerals get their cleanest hour. |
| Magnesium | A fully soluble form, already in solution, built to arrive. The delivery story is below. |
| Supporting amino acid matrix | Free amino acids, including lysine, the amino acid cereal-heavy Indian plates run shortest on3, counted inside the 20g total. |
| Ashwagandha root extract | India's own botanical, root-only and withanolide-standardized, exactly as FSSAI requires. |
| Ginger extract | The adrak note, a heritage flavour running through both cans. |

🌙 ELXR PM, what's inside
| Ingredient | Why it's here |
|---|---|
| Clear whey protein isolate | The backbone of the can's 20g total protein. Isolate grade, zero fat, digesting through the longest fast of your day. |
| Glycine (2.5g) | The PM can's hero, lab-measured, just under the 3g used in published pre-bed research4. |
| Prebiotic fibre (~6g) | The gentler fibre dose of the two cans, squarely in the classic prebiotic range1. |
| Magnesium + zinc | Fully dissolved, and timed hours away from dinner's phytates, the minerals' cleanest hour of the day. |
| Vitamin C | A full day's worth, riding alongside glycine, proline and lysine, the amino acids collagen is built from. |
| Supporting amino acid matrix | Free amino acids counted inside the 20g total, overnight raw material, not marketing garnish. |
| Niacin (vitamin B3) | At about a day's requirement. |
| Ginger extract | The adrak note, evening edition. |
03
The sweeteners, and why not sugar

Sweetness comes from sucralose and acesulfame-K, both within FSSAI limits, milligrams of sweetener doing the job that would otherwise take grams of sugar. Sugar is the one thing this category quietly runs on, and the one thing we refused: zero sugar, lab-tested, in both cans. How zero-sugar sweetness actually reads on the tongue: the taste page.
04
Contains milk, the honest allergen line
Both cans contain milk, the protein is whey, which comes from milk. If you have a diagnosed milk allergy, these cans aren't for you. Full stop.
Lactose intolerance is a different story: each can carries less than a tenth of a gram of lactose, a glass of milk carries around 12g. That makes Recovery+ lactose-intolerance-friendly.
05
What we deliberately left out
- Sugar, zero in both cans, lab-tested.
- Melatonin, nothing hormonal, in either can.
- Sedative herbs, nothing that knocks you out.
- Caffeine, from the PM can, the evening can contains none at all.
06
Not more magnesium, magnesium that actually arrives
India debates mineral forms endlessly, citrate versus oxide, this superior grade against that one. The quieter problem: most mineral supplements fail before absorption even begins, and the Indian plate's phytates plus chai's tannins bind what does survive8. We engineered the delivery instead:
- A solution beats a tablet. A tablet must disintegrate, then dissolve, before a single ion can be absorbed, and published testing has caught entire batches of mineral tablets failing to dissolve properly5. In a can, both steps are already done.
- The right form. We use a fully soluble magnesium form, in head-to-head human studies, soluble forms consistently outperform the cheap oxide that barely dissolves at all6.
- The fibre helps. Human studies show prebiotic fibre supports the uptake of the minerals it travels with.
- Support, built in. Vitamin C rides along for the plant iron on your plate, and the 20-minute chai rule keeps tea's tannins out of the fight.
- Timed away from the phytate wall. Cereal-legume meals carry phytates that bind minerals in the same meal. A can at breakfast or at 9:30 pm simply isn't in your thali's way.

FAQ
Where can I see the full ingredient list?
On the can, every can carries the complete FSSAI-compliant ingredient declaration, which is the document that matters and the one that travels with every serving. This page explains what those ingredients are for. Every claim we make here can be checked against the label in your hand.
What's the fibre?
A prebiotic fibre your own digestion can't break down, so it arrives in the colon intact and feeds your gut bacteria. The AM can carries ~15g, about half a day's target; the PM can ~6g. If you're new to fibre, start with one can a day for week one, the FAQ explains why.
Which whey do you use?
Isolate, the highest grade whey is sold in: over 90% protein by dry weight, with fat and lactose filtered down to traces (the finished can shows zero fat, lab-tested). It's the category of whey that stays crystal-clear at the can's acidity instead of turning milky, which is why the drink pours like a soda and not a shake. And because it arrives fully dissolved and fat-free, it leaves your stomach at a pace a creamy shake can't match. Milk-derived, and counted inside the 20g total protein alongside the supporting amino matrix.
Is it vegetarian?
Yes, lacto-vegetarian. The protein comes from milk (whey), so it suits vegetarians who take dairy. It's not vegan.
